Staff rooms
A chair in the break room or the teachers' lounge, for people who get ten minutes between shifts.
We ask when people are on break and set the seat length to fit it.
The chair goes beside the table. We keep it out of the way of the kettle and the door.
Ten, fifteen or twenty minutes, clothed, so people can sit and go back to work.
We change the cradle cover and call the next name until the hours are up.
Good to know
We ask about pressure before you sit, and check again partway through. Say lighter or firmer at any time.
You stay in your uniform or your work clothes, and seated. We work over the shirt and use no oil or lotion.
Wear what you wear on shift. Take off a lanyard, a badge or a name tag if it sits against the chair.
If you are pregnant, or you have a question about whether massage is right for you, ask your doctor before you sit. We do not diagnose.
