Policies
What to know before you book. Your therapist goes over pressure again before every seat.
Booking and deposits
Book a single seat on the booking page, or ask for a quote for an office day or a market stall. A signed quote or a deposit holds the date, and a deposit goes toward the event.
Canceling and running late
For an event, please give us 48 hours to move the date. For a single seat, 24 hours. If you or a therapist is ill, we will find another day. If you run late for a single seat, the seat is shortened so the next person starts on time.
If you miss an appointment
If nobody is there when we arrive and we have not heard from you, the held time is charged as set out in your quote. A missed single seat is treated the same way. Call the office if something went wrong.
Children and companions
Chair massage is for adults. A companion can wait beside you, but children do not take a seat.
If you're not happy
If a seat wasn't right, tell us within a few days and we'll make it right.
Tipping
Tipping is welcome and never expected. A company can include it in the quote. For a single seat, add one when you pay.
Clothed, not undressed
Chair massage is clothed. You stay dressed and seated, and nothing is uncovered. We work over your shirt with bare hands and use no oil or lotion. You may be asked to take off a heavy scarf, a lanyard or a bulky jacket.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Before you sit we ask about pressure and any area to leave alone. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, shift in the chair or stand up whenever you like, and we stop right away. This is seated massage and we do not diagnose.
Before your visit
Wear what you wear to work. Glasses can come off before you lean into the face cradle, and long hair can stay as it is. There is nothing to fill in on the day.
When to ask your doctor first
If you are pregnant, or you have a question about whether massage is right for you, ask your doctor before you sit. We may suggest you do. We do not diagnose, and we can skip any area you name.
